Shelby L. Core

Shelby L. Core was born and raised in St. Marys, Ohio and she is an honors graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She currently resides in Spencerville, Ohio. She attended undergrad at Ohio Northern University where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration.

Shelby also attended Ohio Northern University’s Claude W. Pettit College of Law to obtain her Juris Doctorate Degree. While in law school, Shelby worked as the law clerk for HK&B. She served on the law school’s Curriculum Committee and Student Bar Association, and was the Research Assistant to Professor Lauren Bartlett. Shelby also chaired initiatives within the law school to offer curriculum and programs pertaining to Agriculture Law, including the foundation of the Agricultural Law Society. Her proudest accomplishment in law school was being named the winner of the annual Burke E. Smith Trial Advocacy Competition.

Now an associate Attorney at HK&B, Shelby operates a general practice, wherein she works on a variety of cases, including personal injury, family law, criminal law and probate matters, to name a few.

Outside of the office, Shelby volunteers as a youth 4-H advisor and participates in various clubs and organizations in the area and surrounding counties. She prides herself on her reputation of reliability and competence within the legal and local community and looks forward to upholding these attributes while resolving your legal matters.
